A secondary pin extends from the sear and connects to the opposite side plate. This creates TWO locking points between the safety sides. This secondary pin makes all the difference and virtually eliminates rotational slack between the side plates.
The sear contact surface is extended making the “safe” position that much more secure. Also, the safety side plates are permanently connected with hardware. Accidental removal or shift is not possible! Use the Rock Lock with confidence in tactical operations.
Dual lock points and a counter-bored screw increase structural strength, decrease wear, and eliminate rotational slop. The Rock Lock is designed specifically to reduce metal fatigue and therefore avoid the mechanical failure that can occur in other designs.
